EXTRA: Hail Heroes
Hail, my heroes!
I am here because you are. We are growing fast – from a small clutch of friends to a large and enlarging community of like-minded souls. Last June, subscribers numbered 480; today, nine months later, twenty-four thousand, increasing at a rate of a hundred a day. And it’s all because of you. Your attention, likes, comments, subscriptions, and sharing accelerate our growth – and keep your scribe busy. Thank you!
To honor our heroes, we are introducing today the Good Morning Project Honor Roll, which will grow continually before our eyes. The Honor Roll will salute anybody who’s contributed any amount, as little as one dollar, to our cause. Can I count you in?
Whether you contribute one dollar or a thousand all will be equal here.
Why are we doing this?
To prove to potential supporters we are a mighty and committed throng (not bots!)
To encourage the Good Morning Project team
To spur growth – for every dollar helps
One buck doesn’t buy much these days. The cheapest drink at Starbucks costs three. This dollar – or whatever you choose to send – buys a lot: solidarity, encouragement, momentum, and (drum roll, please) my gratitude. BETTER TOGETHER!
Here’s our honor roll so far. If you want to support Good Morning Project but not be listed, just check the box. If you feel your name should be included here but it’s not, let me know. Thank you with all my heart.

Hmmm. But these are MY heroes -- isn't that idiomatic usage OK? But I take your point. Honor Roll is honor enough. Thanks.
Good idea. But please do not misuse the word “hero.” It has already been misused on a daily basis by the media.
Generally speaking a hero is someone who puts their life in severe danger in accomplishment of a mission in both military and civil events. There are too many such types of opportunities to list but they do not include donors to your cause. Or donors to any cause unless doing so puts them in danger.
