Communities need not be exclusionary but they are by their nature exclusive, even if those included choose so.

Thank you for your words, Carll. And, keep on writing. I have hesitated to write lately to avoid adding to the noise until I could absorb more and communicate with clarity and, as you mentioned, trust.

I comment a lot attempting to get a toe hold scaling other people's ascents, but everything seems so ephemeral and in constant flux. I remember the solid journalism of our youth and the stately pace of information flow and its integrity. There were editors and legal departments then and the internet has eliminated that and pegged the accelerator. It seems trust has become road kill and "alternative facts" are proliferating without any guardrails.

Humans learned to communicate to help manage our subconscious sense of fear and terror. The pen was supposed to be "mightier than the sword." Sadly it is no match for the meat grinder we have created for ourselves. Rather than calm our fears we now amplify them and engage in what someone called "angertainment".

I suppose I am looking inward hoping to discover a mythos, a story to tell to focus our collective minds on something other than polarization and eventual annihilation. To watch the liberal world order being replaced by savage nationalistic realism is a grim horror story. Sadly, anything else I imagine seems inadequate for the task. If you have any hints, send them my way.

Meanwhile, I seem tasked to be a witness to our diseased and wasting ideologies poisoned by the malignancy of our cancerous technologies. It is a nasty corner we've painted ourselves into and I fear there is no easy way out.
